As entrepreneurs we spend so much of our lives trying to become more productive, more successful, more everything.

It’s easy to get caught up in building, doing and achieving. To spend so much time creating and caring for others that we lose connection with ourselves and what is most important. For me, these practices are a way back.

They remind us to slow down, listen to our bodies and create meaningful work from a place that feels grounded and aligned with who we are.

These practices are not about escaping life. They’re practices that help us become more present within it.

Yin & Yang Yoga.

My classes combine movement and stillness to create balance in both body and mind. The Yang practice builds strength, stability and endurance through mindful movement. The Yin practice invites you to slow down, soften and rest in longer-held postures, creating space to observe rather than react. Together they offer a practice that supports both resilience and restoration.

Sound meditation.

A sound meditation is an invitation to rest. Using crystal singing bowls, wind gongs or other instruments, I create a space where you can let go of doing and simply receive. It’s a gentle practice for calming the nervous system, cultivating presence and reconnecting with yourself.

Inspired by the elements of nature in Ayurveda.

Every class is inspired by one of the five elements in Ayurveda—Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Space. Each element offers a different quality to explore. Just as nature moves through seasons, we move through these qualities within ourselves.

Hi, I’m Patricia Louise Smit, founder of In your element studio.

I’m a creative strategist, designer and yoga teacher (500-RYT). Over the years, my path has evolved at the intersection of thoughtful design, mindful practices and self-reflection.

I believe we create our most meaningful work when we are connected to ourselves. In your element studio is my way of bringing that philosophy into everything I create.
